Find Out How Chrysin DIM Works and What It Is Used For

Chrysin is a flavonoid that has antispasmodic, anxiolytic, and antioxidant properties. DIM (Diindolylmethane) has long been known to stimulate estrogen metabolism in both men and women. How does Chrysin DIM work together to alleviate the symptoms of various ailments? To understand this, it will be helpful to understand these two naturally occurring substances.

What Is Chrysin Used For?

Chrysin is a type of chemical known as a flavonoid. It occurs naturally in a variety of plants and substances, including passionflower, silver linden, and some geranium species, as well as honey and bee propolis (glue). It was discovered in the early 1980s to have the ability to inhibit the conversion of testosterone into estrogens by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for this conversion, aromatase. Because estrogens are created in fat cells via these enzymes in a process known as aromatisation, aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole) have traditionally been used on women with estrogen-dependent breast tumors. However, older men wishing to gain control over their sex hormone levels are increasingly turning to these inhibitors, which limit excess estrogen production while restoring low testosterone levels to a young state. Natural alternatives to medications that block aromatase, such as chrysin, are now available.

People use chrysin for bodybuilding (because chrysin may increase the male hormone testosterone) as well as for a variety of conditions such as anxiety, inflammation, gout, and erectile dysfunction (ED). Oral administration of chrysin to male rats appears to increase testosterone production, sperm movement, and sperm concentration. A study using mice found that chrysin may help reverse the damage done by toxic compounds, such as reactive oxygen species and acrylamide, by acting as an antioxidant.

What Is DIM Used For?

DIM supplements are being researched for their possible role in fighting certain cancers but there are still a lot of unanswered questions. The list of beneficial possibilities includes prostate enlargement, acne concerns, aid in weight loss, and alleviate premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopausal symptoms and much more. DIM is produced in the body through plant substances found in “cruciferous” vegetables such as cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and broccoli. Because they contain diindolylmethane and a related chemical called indole-3-carbinol, scientists believe these vegetables may help to protect the body against cancer.

Signs You May Benefit from Chrysin DIM

The most common reason for taking chrysin supplements is a low testosterone level. Erectile dysfunction, low libido, low sperm count, and baldness are the most common symptoms of low testosterone in aging men. Anxiety, gout, and other inflammatory conditions are also signs that you may benefit from chrysin. Age-related skin conditions and other chronic conditions may also indicate that chrysin’s antioxidant effects may be beneficial to you.

An excess of the aromatase enzyme activity, resulting in too much testosterone being aromatised into estrogen, can be one of the causes of declining testosterone in older men. This increase in estrogen levels causes a negative feedback process in the brain, which turns off testosterone production, resulting in a decrease in the testosterone/estrogen ratio. Increased estrogen levels also raise SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) levels, which binds to any remaining free testosterone, further lowering its free and active form levels. This cascade effect results in a hormonal imbalance between estrogen and testosterone, which is thought to be the cause of prostate cancer and the symptoms of male menopause (andropause).

Impaired libido, erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory issues, decreased energy and strength, increased body fat, loss of muscle mass, prostate enlargement, osteoporosis, melancholy, inability to focus, reduced mental agility, and loss of excitement are just a few of the results of this imbalance.

How Chrysin DIM Works

Aromatase inhibitors have been studied for postmenopausal women with high estrogen. Aromatase inhibitors are also used for premenopausal women found to have a propensity for breast cancer and for ovarian suppression therapy and for men with breast cancer who are unable to take tamoxifen. In older men, aromatase inhibition raises serum bioavailability and total testosterone levels to the youthful normal range.

Chrysin DIM combines three powerful extracts; chrysin, DIM and Swedish flower pollen, providing a wide range of benefits for both men and women. In women, Chrysin DIM can play a vital role in restoring healthy estrogen, and so it is beneficial for postmenopausal women. In men, it can aid in regaining a hormonal balance and aid in erectile dysfunction and gynecomastia.

In circumstances when there is an excess of aromatisation, Chrysin DIM can assist men in boosting free testosterone levels while lowering estrogen levels, restoring a young hormone balance. Increased strength and stamina, increased energy levels, enhanced muscle tone, increased libido and improved sexual function, improved mood and mental agility, and a greater enthusiasm for life are all possible outcomes.
