Adrenal Fatigue Is Real and Here’s What You Need To Know

Many men and women complain of fatigue, body aches, sleep disturbances, digestive problems, and flu-like symptoms after dealing with a pile of stressful duties at home and in the workplace. But only a few of them realize that their adrenal glands are to blame.

A human’s immune system is designed to respond when the body is under stress through the help of adrenal glands. Adrenal glands, the small organs situated above the kidneys, release a stress hormone called cortisol in response to a stressful situation.

Thankfully, if your adrenal glands are perfectly healthy and normal, stress can’t knock you down so easily. However, if you are exposed to a prolonged period of stress, it’s a different story.

In case you missed it, adrenal fatigue is real and it happens when your adrenal glands are functioning below the necessary level. If you get exhausted, then so are your organs. So when you stress too much, it may cause adrenal exhaustion that can lead to adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal fatigue is a condition where there is an insufficient production of cortisol. Once your adrenal glands are burnt out due to your exposure to stressful situations, it cannot function well enough to produce the amount of cortisol your body needs to fight off chronic stress.

But don’t fret. There are suggested herbs and minerals that have been known to help many improve their adrenal function. So, if you need to give your underactive adrenal glands some TLC, continue reading below.

Possible, Natural Adrenal Fatigue Remedies

1. Cannabis Sativa

Cannabis Sativa is one of the most common herbs for adrenal fatigue that is used to alleviate stress and exhaustion. In proper doses, it can reduce feelings of anxiety and improve sleep patterns. Cannabis is also believed to have the potential in regulating the endocrine system functions, including the release of adrenal glands hormones.

2. Evening Primrose Oil

Evening Primrose Oil is rich in essential fatty acids that are believed to balance hormones. It is widely used in relieving Premenstrual Symptoms (PMS) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).

3. Magnesium

Adrenal fatigue and magnesium are related as the latter is known to be the “original chill pill” that quells anxiety. It counters stress levels by stimulating the brain’s GABA receptors. Magnesium is also recognized as the miracle mineral that acts as a filter and prevents stress hormones from entering the brain.

4. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane)

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), a naturally occurring form of sulfur, has received significant attention due to its potential in strengthening the body’s immune defense. Apparently, the immune system can be weakened when exposed to chronic stress. Thanks to MSM, the body is protected from harmful effects that may arise from exhaustion and fatigue.

Adrenal Care Lotion and our newest MSM product, 3M Sleep, both contain MSM as the primary ingredient in boosting the body’s immune system. Because these products are developed for topical application, there is no need to set your alarms for the next dose of your pill supplements. Simply apply a thin coat, according to suggested use or your physician’s advice, of Adrenal Care Lotion or 3M Sleep on the areas of your skin and you’re good to go!

Note from WFP: As the owner of Whole Family Products and one who has suffered from doing too much all my life, I can tell you that Adrenal fatigue is very tricky and can quickly turn painful as well as exhausting. It behaves like an autoimmune disease when pain comes. It may be that you need something more but we suggest you start by being kind to yourself, resting more, trying yoga, eating a diet that is high in anti-oxidants, getting fresh air and gentle exercise and consider a kinesiologist for more specifics to your body’s needs.
